I recently went to hawaii and have ahd the dream all my life to swim with the dolphins, went out on a raft boat, got in the water in general area where some spinner dolphins were swimming. I swam away from the ffew people i was with, and I got blessed with 3 dolphin encounters, one of these encounters the adult spinnners swam literally on both sides of me and at the same time the baby spinners swam under me, they embraced me,,,,, with such magic,... wish I could swim with them always...

Mon, November 27, 2006 - 8:05 PMThat is wonderful. Yes, that's such a blessing, and it happened naturally. I fantasize about this when I'm in bed at night, that this will happen. It thrills me to know it has happened to others. I wonder if this can ever happen with a whale? I wonder how close they get to a shore area off the Hawaiian Islands?
P.S. I'm listening to Yahoo Music, just now a hawaiian song came on called Kaimana Hila. Coincidence? Maybe. I wonder what that means, it's being sung in Hawaiian.

Thu, January 4, 2007 - 12:26 AMThank you for your post, Yes it happened in the wild naturally. I know i watched the movie "whale rider" it was amazing when the young girl rode the whale and got them all unbeached. I was watching it wishing that was me.

Wed, January 23, 2008 - 10:46 AMI had an awesome encounter with spinner dolphins as well. I was just sitting near the water on the big island of hawaii and saw some dolphins in the distance. Needless to say, I felt drawn to them and started swimming. When I got a ways out there, I looked down and saw a pod of about 20 dolphins swimming in a slow circle near the bottom of the ocean. I just hung out and felt very calm and peaceful. When they came up for air, they saw me, checked me out and and stayed near me for at least an hour. It was wonderful, loving and such positive energy. All of a sudden, about 100 feet from us, a humpback whale surfaced. Talk about magical. I will never forget that experience and it changed me forever. May you all be blessed with the love of the dolphins.

What would you think if there was a ban on people swimming with dolphins in Hawaii or having commerical swimming boats with them? Well the National Fishery group is trying to make that happen potentially. If you're interested I can send more info.
I have personally swim with the spinners in Hawaii and have had many lovely amd spiritual awakenings with ceteceans.

I also thought Toni Childs had started something called Dream a Dolphin, which brought austistic children together with dolphins in a therapeutic atmosphere, located in Hawaii. I'm wondering if that or any similar program got off the ground.

Well I believe that the dolphin/human connection is magical. And can be very healing to many for a wide range of reasons.
I do not believe they should ban it, but I do feel the laws put there to keep them safe and guarded are important. It was so freaky before xmas I was sitting here listening to a commercial for Red Lobster and they said something about a dolphin dish. I was livid, and made a call to the Red Lobster here in chico, of course they denied any knowledge of this.
But yes I would like more info on this . Thanks again so much
